Education has the power to transform lives. However, financial hardships can put a lot of strain on students and their education. The Alumni Association of the University of Peradeniya Canberra Chapter (AAUPCC) offered 14 scholarships in 2021 with the contribution of direct doners and association fund to help easing some student’s financial burdens, with the wish to see every single one of our undergraduates reaching their full potential and building bright futures for themselves. The students who receive the scholarships are chosen from nine faculties of the University with support from the Alumni Association of University of Peradeniya. The scholarships offered this year are worth 504,000 rupees. Each selected student receives an annual total of 36,000 rupees, which is to be accessible as monthly instalments.
